Welcome to Week 22
I am officially living the dream! No more teaching and training on the side. This is my career now! I'm so excited for this new journey in my life! I already have a few "Mommy and Me" boot camps in the works for next week. I'm also on the hunt for some one-on-one clients. Fast Metabolism Diet Basics (FMD)
Last week I told you the fast metabolism diet. I started it almost 2 weeks ago. The beauty of this diet is that you can pretty much eat as much as you want. Its just about WHAT you are eating. The week is broken up into 3 phases. Phase 1 (2 days) includes lots of grains and fruits to calms your adrenal glands. Phase 2 (2 days) included lost of protein and veggies to build lean muscle and unlock stored fat. Finally, phase 3 (3 days) combines all of the above, plus healthy fats and oils, to accelerate the fat burn. The phases work together for 4 cycles (28 total days) to "set your metabolism on fire." Lessons Learned from FMD
I'm going to be honest and tell you this week I've had a few slip ups. Its was the last week of work packed with end of year celebrations, going away parties and retirement parties AND we had family in town ( the best thing to do is bring them to your favorite restaurants)...However, already this diet has changed my eating habits in a way I don't feel guilty. The rest of the time, my healthy breakfasts, snacks and lunches prepared my metabolism for the "slip-ups" My # 1 lesson so far: Bring awareness to your eating. Try a food journal. What are your good habits? What are you bad habits? Then commit to changing at least 1 thing. Mine 1st change is to commit to eating a healthy breakfast every day. This Week's Workouts
During the fast metabolism diet specific exercise types are suggested for each phase. This week's workouts are designed to meet those needs. I think you will find that these are great workouts even if you aren't on the diet.
As always, don't forget to warm up and stretch. I created few warm-up routines to fit these workouts as well. Keep your eye out for these on facebook or youtube as the week goes on.
